Pinto Piga Seeds continues this trend with a well trained team, dependable growers and technologically advanced facilities, enabling production of over 2,000 hectares (4,942 acres) of dent corn, sweet corn, canola, soy bean and sunflower.
Pinto Piga´s field crop production is outsourced to well-known, reliable growers from Santiago all the way to Los Angeles, 600 Km south of Santiago. Our production team provides growers with technical advice and quality control. We have offices and warehouses in Talca and Chillán

Pinto Piga GMO spring Canola production has performed consistently well according to the high standards required by the industry. The production area is held from Parral through Los Angeles.
Sowing can be accomplished from August through September which gives the client the possibility to easily commercialize and plant the seeds in the northern hemisphere season.
Pinto Piga can export canola seeds under OECD and AOSCA certification. Our facilities enable us to finalize seed, which means final cleaning, conditioning, treatment and bagging.
Dent Corn: Pinto Piga mainly deals with back-up production to face new market requirements or failures in American and European productions, as well as new requests. Chile can produce dent corn seed categories 1 through 5.
Sweet and Supersweet Corn: Pinto Piga has vast experience and success in sweet and supersweet corn hybrid seed production. Our crop management technology coupled with pre and post harvest care of the corn have produced excellent results in seed yield, as well as seed purity, vigor and germination. Hand harvesting and husking guarantees high quality kernels.
Pinto Piga can produce and process GMO and GMO free corn seeds and we are able to export seeds under OECD and AOSCA certification. Our facilities enable us to finalize seed, which means final cleaning, conditioning, treatment and bagging.
Pinto Piga sunflower production has performed consistently well in both oil and confection seeds thanks to excellent yields and quality. Special care is taken in Sclerotinia control to avoid seed contamination with sclerots.

Pinto Piga Soybean counter season production is condition to maturity levels that goes from 00 through 3. Over level 3 it is difficult to produce because there is not enough GDD to arrive appropriately to the northern hemisphere.
